The second meeting under the WRF’s five-year plan to reduce barriers to trade in wine among APEC economies was held on 11-12 September 2014 in Beijing, China with government officials and industry representatives from sixteen member economies in attendance. View the 2014 presentations here.

The WRF’s 2013 Technical Workshop brought together wine regulators from 14 of the 21 APEC economies to participate in technical assistance activities that will assist developing economies in implementing specific and measurable good regulatory practices. View the 2013 presentations here.

In November 2012, New Zealand hosted the second WRF meeting, with more than 60 regulators and wine industry representatives from 16 Asia-Pacific economies participating. The inaugural WRF meeting was attended by more than 100 government officials and international wine industry representatives who explored opportunities to reduce unnecessary impediments to trade, including streamlining regulatory import-export requirements. The regulators shared best practices on wine certification, analysis, winemaking practices and labeling in the APEC region.
